CLUB HOUSEBOAT TRIP

Club member Tony Brljevich treated 17 members to a day trip on Tony's houseboat. With the help of his son, Keith, he had thought of everything, supplying fishing lines and bait for those so inclined, even nibbles for the afternoon cruise home.

Music Maestro Please!

With a packed lunch and refreshments members assembled at Awanui for departure at 0800. After a leisurely cruise down the channel anchor was dropped at Mangatete for those keen to try their hand at fishing. With the men's guidance, the first two fish were caught by the women! Our Social Club captain, being the conservationist he is, err.. decided to release the biggest snapper caught on the day (due to his fumbling of the net!!), to the dismay of the one who caught it of course.

After lunch, an odd one or two relaxed with a book while others enjoyed a good sing-song as we gradually wound our way back up the channel arriving back at the jetty about 1730.

This was a very enjoyable and relaxing day.
